My Story · The Roots
Why I Became a Therapist
I didn’t choose this path by accident — my work as a trauma-informed therapist is deeply rooted in both my professional training and my lived experience. As a refugee, I have known what it means to be uprooted, to navigate unfamiliar systems, and to rebuild a sense of safety and identity in a new place. The devastating war of 2020 in Armenia further deepened my understanding of collective trauma — the kind that lives not only in individuals, but in families, communities, and generations.
