Rooted Group Therapy
Group Therapy for Connection, Healing, and Growth
At Rooted Integrative Therapy, we offer group therapy in Utah as a powerful way to experience healing in connection with others. While individual therapy creates space for personal insight, group therapy adds something different—shared understanding, real-time connection, and the opportunity to feel less alone in what you’re carrying.
Our groups are thoughtfully designed for individuals navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship patterns, and life transitions, offering a supportive environment where growth can happen both internally and relationally.
What Is Group Therapy?
Group therapy is a collaborative experience led by one to two licensed therapists, typically with no more than 8–10 participants. Each group is centered around a shared focus, allowing members to explore their experiences while also learning from others who are navigating something similar.
Benefits of Group Therapy
Many people come to therapy feeling isolated in their struggles. Group work helps shift that experience.
Through group therapy, you can:
- Feel understood and supported by others
- Reduce feelings of isolation and self-doubt
- Gain new perspectives and insights
- Practice communication and relational skills
- Build confidence in expressing yourself
- Experience connection in a safe and structured space
For many, group therapy becomes a place where healing happens not just through insight—but through connection.
Our Approach to Group Therapy
Our groups are grounded in a trauma-informed, integrative approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as:
- Internal Family Systems (IFS)
- Positive Psychology
- Somatic therapy and nervous system regulation
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Mindfulness-based practices
This allows us to support both emotional processing and practical skill-building, while also honoring the role of the body and nervous system in healing.
We create a space that is:
- Safe and non-judgmental
- Structured yet flexible
- Supportive of individual pacing
- Focused on meaningful, lasting change
